This page describes what the public VetVisits website (vetvisits.ca) collects about your visits, and what it doesn't.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics tool. Specifically:

No cookies are placed on your device.
No personally identifiable information is collected.
Your IP address is never stored: it's briefly used, together with your browser, to compute a daily unique-visitor count, then immediately discarded.
No data is shared with any third party, sold, or used for advertising.
We track pages visited and, for visits arriving from a targeted email link, a campaign code (a ref parameter in the URL) — nothing more.

Since no cookies are used and no personal data is collected, this analytics measurement doesn't require your prior consent.

Customer portal and practice data

This page covers the public website only. If you're a VetVisits customer, how your practice's data (contact details, animal records, appointments, prescriptions) is used within the platform itself is separate from the above, and already covered by your service agreement. Reach out directly with any questions about that.
